scotland – first impressions

May 26, 2012

Whew, so many photos to sort through in this real summer heat we’re having here! I’ll be giving y’all a full account of where we went, what we did and how we liked (loved!) it, but for today there’s a preview on my other blog with the most beautiful landscape shots from our journey:

There’s also even more photos to be seen on my Facebook Page, so do head over there until I get myself (and my photos) sorted out for good. I can’t wait to tell you all about our vacation! And yes, there’ll be a video too in a while :)

Thanks so much Ailsa! Isn’t Scotland wonderful? Where in Scotland did you go? I didn’t take any street market photos though :)

I was in Edinburgh and surrounding areas. The scenery is some of the best I’ve ever seen.

We didn’t actually see much of Edinburgh and that area, we were only in the city for one day and up in the Highlands for the rest of the time, but it sounds like it’s well worth a visit as well :)

Kristina, those first two pics look surreal. They are absolutely beautiful. Look forward to hearing about your journey.

Thanks Lynda! Honestly, scottish forests ARE surreal at times…you just stumble across these places and are overwhelmed by their magic. The second picture is a clearing just off the road at Loch Ness. I saw it as we were driving past and shouted at my boyfriend to stop the car and hopped out to capture it :)

Thanks Karen, I’m honored! I’m having a hard time keeping up with these awards and stuff you need to do for them though (God, that sounds really arrogant, please don’t take it that way!).

Wow, these are amazing – they look like an imaginary place someone painted. I wish I could go there!

Scotland IS amazing, every time you round a corner you find a more beautiful spot than the one you just left. The clearing in the second picture actually had me stand there a couple of minutes with my mouth open, saying “is this place for real??”

Breathtaking!!! I always hoped to see Scotland someday, and now I am even more determined to make it there…
